Let go of past mistakes and carry on like a champ. You might say, “ It’s easier said than done,” but you do have the power to move on. It’s all inside your mind waiting to be discovered. Some people wait till the new year to invite change. However, New Year resolutions can start anytime. My question to you is, why wait? Your time is now; are you ready to cross over to the other side of the mountain?

We are on a journey to grow, and first, we need to face our truth. In this article, I’ll show you three methods for letting go of your mistakes and recognizing it’s a position to build, not destroy. The foundation of solid movement is clarity, and extra baggage like anger, fear, guilt, unforgiveness, hidden pain, shame, regret, etc., isn’t welcome on this journey. To move forward, we need to forgive ourselves and those who have wronged us. We also need to take the time to identify and process our emotions, to understand why we felt the need to make the mistake in the first place. Once we understand our emotions, we can start to work on making more productive and healthy decisions. So let’s examine what to bring as we put on our champion mindset on.

1. Let Go of Mistakes: Forgive yourself and start to love who you will be

Yes, the current situation may not be what you desire right now, but past mistakes can be repaired by moving forward and seeing the results. Start by forgiving yourself, forgive yourself for making bad decisions, forgive yourself for not speaking up, forgive yourself for not knowing everything, forgive yourself for missing the mark, and forgive yourself for being too scared. FORGIVE YOURSELF. Take a good look into the mirror and tell yourself it’s okay “My future is bright.” To forgive yourself is also to comfort yourself with positive affirmations. Remind yourself that you are worthy and capable of making better decisions in the future, and no matter what, you always have a chance to start anew. Believe in yourself and allow yourself to heal.

It is champions who speak well of themselves; it is champions who stand their ground to work hard, and it is champions who take risks. Do not fear the idea of growing; time will not stand still for you as it was made to move without regrets or second-guessing. Fall in love with who you are becoming this time; a person who has learned from their mistakes and is willing to be a better version of themselves. Disclaimer::: Forgive your surroundings, too; environment, family, and friends. Our journey shouldn’t be filled with old pains and disagreements. Your mind can be set free once you apologize to anyone you burned bridges with along the way. For us to succeed, we need a light load.

2. Let Go of Mistakes: Move on or remain drained

Acknowledging the mistakes you made and stop hiding how you feel; it is not the end of your journey. You will become spiritually drained if you try to avoid it as much as you can. A person who holds on to past mistakes is not a strong person. Today, don’t let situations you can’t control keep you from making things right. There is a chance for everything when there is life. Remember who you are becoming as you move forward, declaring, “I have learned from my mistakes, and I’m building a better version of myself today.” Love yourself enough to get back up and continue on your journey at any moment. The task is within your reach!

Mistakes build character, life lessons bring learning, regrets stunt growth, and hope builds tomorrow.

Invitation to PEACE……

The past decision made us feel uncomfortable and down for too long after identifying our mistakes. As far as our peace is concerned, we need to move on and reshape the reality that we want to see in the future. Saying goodbye to any regrets will help us invite peace back. Our minds should no longer be occupied with regret, which is a selfish emotion. To create a peaceful future, we must let go of our regret and embrace the positive aspects of our decision-making.

This will allow us to focus on the future and work towards a brighter tomorrow. Making an acknowledgment and accepting mistakes is one of the most powerful steps you can take to move forward. Our peace comes from knowing we are working toward change and not letting fear stand in the way. For example, admitting to a mistake can be a difficult but important step towards finding solutions and creating a better future, as it allows us to focus our energy on productive solutions rather than ruminating on the past.

3. Let Go of Mistakes: Think Like a Champion

Your goals need your complete energy, focus, passion, and patients. Thinking like a champion is to have confidence that you can win. You can win if you work hard, believe you are capable, be willing to learn, and not be afraid to try again.

Thinking like a Champion: (Focus on the What)

  • What can I do now to prevent the mistake from happening again?
  • What are the steps to get to the next stage?
  • What are my new boundaries I won’t let myself cross?
  • What do I value now that Im becoming a better version of myself?

Champions use their mistakes as a means of learning to reach victory. You should no longer view your mistakes negatively but rather as a lesson to be learned and perfected. It’s true that everyone makes mistakes, but those who are willing to accept their mistakes are able to learn from them. Taking action and getting the job done is the key. This is for you if you are reading this. You are in a season of change, so replace the past with yes, I can; I will try, I will practice, and giving up is not an option.

You are capable of letting go: Minni Reflection Assignment

Grab a pen and a sheet of notebook paper…..

Write down all the mistakes that are bothering you on a piece of paper.

Be very transparent about what you write down, and take a few minutes to analyze it. By writing down your mistakes, you can gain clarity about what’s been bothering you. You can also reflect on what could have been done differently, and take steps to ensure that those mistakes don’t happen again. This is a great way to learn from your mistakes and move forward. Next, cross out everything you wrote down. Crossing it out to signify we are ready to move on.

Write positive and encouraging things about yourself on the back of the sheet.

Make your voice heard: let yourself know you’re bold, resilient, not a quitter, competent, and confident at any given moment. For example, write down advice and anything you would like to see yourself embodying moving forward. Put the paper in a spot you see daily and read out one line a day. Read out the line instantly seven times daily. The step will help you mentally get to the other side of the mountain, and it’s up to you to start the action beyond it.
