Hi! I'm Denise Carino. I wrote this article about my experience of being an immigrant in America as it is such an integral part of who I am and how I became the person that I am today. I hope that it is able to inform others about one perspective of what the experience is like and for those who don't share the experience, I hope it is able to open their eyes and change the way they go forth in the world to treat others.
